2017 National Engineers Week Annual Awards Banquet

The National Engineers Week Annual Awards Banquet will feature Keynote Speaker Brandon Reynante, speaking on "Engineering for Humanity."

  • Outstanding Engineer
  • Outstanding Engineering Educator
  • Outstanding Engineering Project (& Co-Sponsored Projects)
  • The Dr. Thomas Avolt Kanneman Outstanding Engineering Service Award

The National Engineers Week Foundation is a formal coalition of more than 100 professional societies, major corporations, and government agencies dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce. Its mission is to increase awareness and interest in engineering and technology careers among young students and to promote pre-college literacy in math and science.

National Engineers Week is a nationwide event that raises public understanding and appreciation of engineers' contributions to society.


The 2017 San Diego Chapter MATHCOUNTS Competition will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, University of California San Diego, York Hall.

MATHCOUNTS is a national math completion for middle school students and is designed as a fun and challenging way to inspire and reward students for academic achievement.

Donating to MATHCOUNTS

Has your child benefited from participation in MATHCOUNTS? Please consider donating to our local competition. Funding is used for food, equipment rentals, awards, and prizes at the local competition not covered by registration fees. A San Diego MATHCOUNTS donation can be made in two ways: if you need a tax deduction, then it should be written to "CSPEEF" with a memo for San Diego MATHCOUNTS; if no deduction is needed, then it can be written to "CSPE – San Diego" with a memo for MATHCOUNTS. Checks should be sent to Ken Discenza, 888 Brockton St., El Cajon, CA 92020.
