The
NSPE-PAC was formed to empower engineers to be more involved in the
determination of federal laws and policies. The NSPE-PAC is
the nonpartisan Political Action Committee of NSPE, created in 1978.
It is affiliated with NSPE as a voluntary, nonprofit, unincorporated
committee, with its own bylaws and officers, authorized under
federal law to raise funds from NSPE members and to contribute to
candidates in federal election campaigns.
NSPE-PAC's
primary goal is to enhance the influence of the engineering
profession on issues of technical public policy. Its objectives are:
 |
to
contribute to candidates who demonstrate interest in the
services of engineers in matters of public policy, or who are in
a position to affect the interests of engineers; and
|
 |
to
stimulate more active involvement by engineers in the political
and legislative process.
