California Society of Professional Engineers

The California Society of Professional Engineers Political Action Committee (CSPE PAC) is the leader in impacting California lawmakers on behalf of Professional Engineers practicing in all disciplines. The CSPE PAC is made up of dedicated CSPE members committed to improving the workplace for California’s P.E.’s.

The CSPE PAC is committed to preserving the P.E. license and its importance in California. The scope of the CSPE PAC is broad-based as we attempt to promote and protect our profession. The CSPE PAC is involved in influencing lawmakers on the laws and regulations that continue to impact engineering.

Over the past few years, the CSPE PAC has worked tirelessly to implement changes to make it easier and more profitable to practice in California, including:

	Endorsement of and contribution to California Assembly Candidates re-election Campaigns. All candidates endorsed supported legislation impacting Professional Engineers
	Efforts to pass Propositions 35 and defeat Proposition 224, both of which impacted the ability of government to contract out engineering services
	Spearheading efforts to work with the consultant studying our profession to address registration between areas of specialty.

The CSPE PAC has developed an endorsement policy to guide its actions.

The CSPE PAC also abides by all regulations adopted by the California Fair Political Practices Commission.

CSPE PAC Welcomes Donations to Support Its Cause

The CSPE PAC relies upon the generosity of Professional Engineers and firms in California to help carry out its agenda. The CSPE PAC welcomes monetary contributions in support of its efforts. Any amount is greatly appreciated as we continue our fight to improve the workplace for P.E.’s in California and protect our profession from attack.
