Alert! This email based benefit allows members to help
influence CSPE's legislative agenda.
CSPE
is active in lobbying the California Legislature through both its
own efforts and those of the California Legislative Council of
Professional Engineers (CLCPE).
In
addition to taking positions on legislative issues, CSPE also works
to protect its members on Regulatory Issues that impact both the
P.E. license and Professional Engineering in California.

Board for Professional Engineers & Land
Surveyors (BPE&LS)
The
official licensing board for Professional Engineers in California,
BPE&LS administers the FE/EIT and PE examinations, establishes
regulations, and enforces laws pertaining to engineering.
QBS
- Qualification Based Selection
CSPE
promotes the use of Qualified Based Selection (QBS) for governmental
agencies to procure engineering services.
CSPE
alliances with the Architects & Engineers Conference Committee
of California (A&ECC) and the Civil Justice Association of
California (CJAC) helps further promote the political voice of
Professional Engineers.
Energy
Alliance - Alliance for Energy and Economic Growth
(AEEG)
CSPE
is a member of AEEG, which seeks to help build a national consensus
for a comprehensive U.S. energy strategy that balances supply and
demand without compromising environmental safeguards, so that we may
fuel America's economy and support our quality of life.
CCCC- California Coalition for Construction in the
Classroom
CSPE
has formed a partnership with the California
Coalition for Construction in the Classroom to promote
construction and career technical education (CTE) in California's
classrooms.
The
National Society of Professional Engineers Political Action
Committee (NSPE PAC) utilizes the information provided by CSPE and
its members to lobby national legislators.
NSPE's
Governmental Affairs department works in conjunction with CSPE to
take positions on national issues that impact the engineering
profession.
