National Engineer's Week

National Engineers Week represents a consortium of more than 100 engineering, scientific, education societies, and major corporations whose goal is to help increase public awareness and appreciation of the engineering profession. Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, E-Week continues to expand yearly.

National Engineer's Week takes place every year at the time of George Washington's birthday.  The nation's first president had the background of an engineer and land surveyor.  In 2008, National Engineer's Week will be held February 17-23.
