GOAL:
CSPE provides outreach through community service Student & Youth
programs such as Mathcounts and Student Engineer Programs
CSPE Education Foundation
The
CSPE Education Foundation (CSPEEF) is the fundraising arm of CSPE.
As a fully-operational 501c(3) organization, CSPEEF helps sponsor
MATHCOUNTS, the Ingersoll EIT Grants, and advocates construction and
career technical education (CTE) in the classroom.
EIT & PE
Review Courses
A
complete resource of companies and institutions that provide review
courses and materials for taking either the EIT or PE examination in
California. Many of these companies also offer discounts to
CSPE members.
Ingersoll
EIT Grants
CSPE
provides grants to students interested in taking the California
Engineer-in-Training (EIT or FE) examination, the first step on the
road to becoming a Professional Engineer.
JETS-
National Engineering Design Challenge
The Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS) is a
national non-profit educational organization focuses on giving
students an opportunity to explore engineering, assess their
interests in the profession, and experience the career through
real-world based competitions.
MATHCOUNTS
CSPE
is committed to helping the profession of engineering through the
sponsorship of California MATHCOUNTS, a junior high mathematics
competition intended to increase the technical skills of
California's youth. CSPE Sponsors 25 local competitions and
two
statewide competitions, influencing over 20,000 middle schoolers
every year.
National
Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES)
The
web site for NCEES, the nationwide organization comprised of the
state engineering licensure boards that develops FE/EIT and PE
licensure examinations.
National
Engineers Week Future City Competition
The National Engineers Week Future® City Competition
is an example of problem based learning with computer simulation.
It is an integrated, multidisciplinary, holistic approach to
relevant issues and is a strong example of STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics) education that addresses
national and state academic content standards. The program asks 7th
and 8th grade students from around the nation to team with
engineer-volunteer mentors to create — first on computer and then in
large, three-dimensional models — their visions of the city of
tomorrow.
NSPE
Student Page
The
NSPE Student page helps high school and college students learn about
engineering, particularly about becoming a professional engineer and
receiving scholarships through NSPE.
ZOOM
into Engineering is a CSPE project designed to excite kids about
engineering by combining enthusiastic volunteers with the fun,
kid-tested, engineering activities from the hit PBS television show ZOOMTM.
