CSPE has registered to help exposure millions of students to the benefits of a profession in engineering by participating in ZOOM into Engineering. Using both via traditional outreach methods and the ZOOM web site (which averages 25,000 visits a day), CSPE will help promote and advance the profession of engineering
ZOOM Into Engineering is a project designed to excite kids about engineering by combining Engineers Week’s cadre of enthusiastic volunteers with the fun, kid-tested, engineering activities from the hit PBS television show ZOOM™. The appeal of ZOOM and the chance to do activities with real engineers is sure to draw crowds of interested youngsters to all types of outreach events—from shopping malls and after school programs to libraries, science centers, and classrooms. Training will be conducted by WGBH’s ZOOM professional outreach staff.
If you are willing to:
- Communicate with other local engineering organizations, i.e., a local E-Week coalition, and
- Be a trainer in your community, then . . .
We Want You!
If you are interested in helping students learn about engineering as a profession as well as teach other trainers about the benefits of ZOOM, please contact NSPE at 703-684-2874.
