This Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between you, the expert (“You”), and Hawkfish AS, the company operating the CSPE.com platform (“Company”).
CSPE.com is powered by the same experienced team behind Hacked.com, a global leader in personal cybersecurity and digital support. Over the past six years, we have helped more than 35,000 clients and have been featured in The Washington Post, The Times, and The Verge. The systems, routines, and client care processes we developed through Hacked.com have been carefully adapted to support professionals like you in other fields.
As a CSPE expert, you can focus on delivering high-quality one-on-one support in your area of expertise, while we support you with tools, scheduling, platform infrastructure, and client onboarding.
Why CSPE Charges a Setup Fee and Subscription
To ensure a professional and trusted experience for both experts and clients, we charge a one-time setup fee of $249 and a monthly subscription of $199. These fees cover:
- Identity and address verification
- Licensing for Zoom Workplace, Calendly, and Microsoft Exchange
- A professional @cspe.com email address
- Your expert listing and promotion on CSPE.com
- Booking and payment system setup
- Ongoing platform tools and client support
These services help ensure consistency, quality, and trust across the CSPE network. If this level of structure and support does not align with what you are looking for, CSPE may not be the right fit. We are building a premium expert network rooted in shared standards and client-first service, where professionals can confidently charge premium hourly rates.
By accepting this Agreement and offering services through CSPE.com, you agree to the following terms:
1. Independent Contractor Status
1.1 You acknowledge and agree that you are acting as an independent contractor and not as an employee, agent, or representative of CSPE.com or Hawkfish AS.
1.2 You are solely responsible for all taxes, insurance, legal obligations, and liabilities arising from compensation received through CSPE.com.
2. Scope of Work
2.1 You will provide one-on-one technical support and related services to clients via CSPE.com.
2.2 You may set your own availability and services, subject to CSPE.com policies and guidelines.
2.3 Availability and Session Format Requirements
You must be able to offer both full sessions of 50 minutes, followed by a 10-minute break, and short sessions of 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute break.
You are required to offer a minimum of 20 hours of availability per week, except during periods of documented vacation, illness, or other approved absences. You may freely choose your working hours between Monday and Sunday, provided this requirement is met.
3. Conduct, Security, and Compliance
3.1 You agree to:
- Deliver services professionally, respectfully, and on time.
- Conduct all meetings in a private room with proper lighting and minimal disturbances.
- Maintain strict client confidentiality at all times.
- Never receive, store, or request sensitive personal information (e.g., passwords, passport scans, card numbers).
- Immediately inform the client to change any password entered in plain text during a session.
- Disable screen sharing before any sensitive data entry and re-enable it only after.
- Comply with privacy laws and platform-specific procedures.
3.2 You will be held personally liable for any unlawful or unethical activity committed during your engagement.
3.3 You must complete identity and proof-of-address verification with CSPE before offering services.
4. Software and Hardware Requirements
4.1 Required software (included in your monthly fee):
- Zoom Workplace
- Calendly (Teams license)
- Microsoft Exchange email (@cspe.com)
- CSPE Dashboard access
4.2 Required hardware:
- Two monitors
- Stable computer (Windows/macOS)
- Quality webcam
- Protected WiFi or VPN
5. Office Environment
You must operate from a private, quiet room to ensure confidentiality and trust. Open-plan offices or co-working spaces are acceptable only if meetings are conducted in enclosed, private rooms.
6. Payments, Fees, and Minimum Rates
6.1 You will set your own hourly rate between 40 USD and up to 95 USD.
6.2 You agree to a one-time setup fee of 249 USD and a recurring monthly platform fee of 199 USD, following a one-month free trial. This includes:
- Zoom Workplace Pro
- Calendly Teams Profile
- Microsoft Exchange email ([email protected])
- Public listing and marketing
- Technical support
- CSPE Dashboard access
- Customer communication assistance
- Assessment call facilitation
6.3 You will connect your Stripe or PayPal account and receive 100% of session payments, minus processing fees.
6.4 You are responsible for managing refunds, taxes, and disputes.
6.5 You may cancel your profile & subscription at any time, but you will then lose access to the services listed above.
7. No Guarantee of Engagement
7.1 CSPE.com makes no guarantee of bookings or income.
7.2 The Company may remove your profile or terminate your access at its discretion for any breach or quality concerns.
7.3 You are expected to actively promote your services locally, including to your personal and professional network, where appropriate. Your success on CSPE.com depends in part on your individual marketing efforts in addition to platform visibility.
8. Liability and Indemnification
8.1 You are solely liable for all advice and services provided.
8.2 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hawkfish AS and CSPE.com for any damages, claims, or losses resulting from your actions or omissions.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
9.1 This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Norway, and disputes shall primarily be resolved in the courts of Norway. However, Hawkfish AS is open to applying the laws of the State of California, United States, and resolving disputes in California courts, subject to mutual agreement with the Expert.
10. Term and Termination
10.1 This Agreement remains valid while you offer services on CSPE.com. You may terminate your profile at any time by sending an email to [email protected]
10.2 The Company may terminate the Agreement at any time for violations, misconduct, or reputational risk.
11. Acceptance
By offering services on CSPE.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept the terms of this Agreement in full.
